VC Vocational Nursing Info Session in Hallettsville

A Vocational Nursing Program information session will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday at the Zelda L. Allen School of Nursing, 1410 N. Texana St., in Hallettsville. The information session will address new prerequisites and requirements, information about the program, costs for the program, and financial aid. Joyce Harper, vocational nursing program chair and instructor, told the Victoria Advocate there are several changes occurring in the vocational nursing program for the 2015-16 academic year. "Some of the prerequisites will make it easier for the VN graduates to transition into the Associate Degree in Nursing Program if they desire," Harper said. Beginning in May 2015, the program will start in the summer semester. There will no longer be an August admission.
