Turkey Race Highlights Cuero’s Annual Turkey Fest Activities

Festival season is in full swing in South Texas. Our friends in Cuero are getting ready to host one of the most iconic festivals in Texas, Turkey Fest. This year's event will take place from October 10-12 in the city of Cuero. Of course, it all kicks off with the parade and the turkey race between Ruby Begonia of Cuero and Paycheck of Worthington to see who gets bragging rights for the next year.

Tejano entertainment scheduled for Turkey Fest

While Turkey Fest features some of the biggest country and Texas country names, the festival also shows some love to the Tejano genre. Last year, the South Texas Homies performed for the event. This year, Cuero's own Los Amigos ASG will perform alongside Grupo Mania.

The Tejano entertainment is scheduled for Saturday, October 11. Los Amigos ASG have just released a new single, "Deberia Ser Yo," and broke into Rudy Trevino's Tejano Gold Countdown Top 20. You can hear this single trending on KLUB Tejano 106.9.

Grupo Mania has just broken into the Tejano Music scene this year and is making noise. One of their first performances was for our KLUB VIPs, and it was their first performance in Victoria.

Turkey Fest is a longstanding tradition in South Texas.
