Triple-Stabbing Suspect Charged With Murder and Aggravated Assault
It seems like the last few weeks in Victoria have been active with crime and some of them have been very serious! Yesterday, Victoria Police Department officers responded to a residence in the 3000 block of Circle Street in response to a stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers contacted the suspect and quickly detained him. Once the suspect was detained, officers entered the residence, located three victims with multiple stab wounds, and immediately rendered aid. Officers and Victoria Fire Department EMS attempted lifesaving measures on all three victims; however, one of the victims, Ruben Salinas Jr., 55, succumbed to his injuries at the location.

The two additional victims, 53-year-old Sandra Garcia, and an eight-year-old child were transported to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries. The eight-year-old has since been flown to a hospital in San Antonio, where he remains in critical condition.
The suspect has been identified as Joseph Jordan Garcia, a 27-year-old Victoria resident, and he has been charged with the following:
Murder and aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon – 2 counts
This is an isolated family violence incident, and the investigation is ongoing.
“Last night’s incident was very tragic, and the victims’ and first responders’ lives have been changed forever,” said Police Chief Roberto Arredondo. “On behalf of the Victoria Police Department, I would like to express our sincerest condolences to the families of the victims.”
