I wasn't born in Texas. I've lived in El Paso for a little over 5 years. From what I've been able to gather, the rest of Texas doesn't really consider El Paso a part of Texas. I think they'd be cool we just drew the border straight down on the west side of Texas and give everything to the west to New Mexico. Despite these points, I technically live in Texas and I LOVE IT. I get to travel to Austin every couple of months, and I love driving through Texas.

Now the question that was posed is:

What's something that's not a cult, but seems like a cult.

That dude gets it! He did miss something though. When he's talking about the 'clubhouses', he forgot about HEB. Those are the big 3. Buc-ee's, Whataburger, and HEB. You'll notice, above I talked about how the rest of Texas doesn't really consider El Paso a part of Texas. Well, how many of those three do we have? Whataburger. Check. HEB and Buc-ee's? Nope. And we need those over here in El Paso. If you've never been to either, you're missing out. HEB is a really, really nice grocery store and more. You can get some cool stuff there. And no, Buc-ee's isn't just a truck stop. First of all, they don't even allow semi trucks to pull into their parking lot. And second, you can get some really nice stuff at Buc-ee's. I recommend the Bohemian garlics beef jerky.
