Nostalgic Memories Of Victoria's Playhouse Theater From The '80s

Taking it back to the days that a crisp $1 bill could get you into a movie at the Playhouse in Victoria. Now, granted they were movies that had been out for a while but that did not matter. Not only could you enjoy a cheap movie, you could walk next door and enjoy a the Pizza Hut buffet. If you drive by today, you can see the nail place still has the shape of a Pizza Hut.

Who remembers looking up showtimes in the newspaper?

I still remember the setup with 4 screens and the two screens to your left when you walked were so opposite. The first one was massive, while the one in the back was tiny, I am gonna guess like 25 seats. It was a simpler time, when you had to look in the newspaper for showtimes. We used to have three theaters in Victoria

The Playhouse wasn't the only theatre back in the 80s and 90s. There was also the Salem Six, which no longer exists, you can find Toyota of Victoria where it used to stand. Then there was the Cinema IV, which was behind the mall, which also no longer exists. That is now the strip mall where the Pizza Hut is.
