There are two really great things to do this Saturday, one supports shopping local and one supports volunteerism.

The Victoria Farmer's Market is celebrating its second Farmer's Market of the year AND The Golden Crescent Area Food Bank has its first community volunteering day of the year as well!

You can choose to be outdoors and supporting local farmers, or indoors supporting the area hungry. Whatever you choose to do, we've got all the information you need right here.

From soaps, grass-fed meats to noodles, jams, pickles, seasonings. Yep, even marinara sauces, and homemade wine. Now that's Italian!

You can find just about anything you're looking for all during your convenient open-air shopping experience!

The Victoria Farmer's Market is open from 9 am to 2 pm this Saturday, If you've never been, stop by and shop. You'll be a returning customer guaranteed!

Did you know the Victoria Farmer's Market and the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent collaborate?

In fact, The Farmer's Market is an official program of the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent, farmers often donating goods to the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent. They are a community helping feed everyone in our community.

And you can help feed the community too!

Every 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month, from 8 am to 12noon, the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent, located at 3809 E. Rio Grande opens its doors to volunteers to help provide the thousands of meals needed for local families in our community. The FBGC serves 11 counties in our area. 11 counties!

Groups, individuals, adults, and children are all welcome and everyone must wear a mask. Help heal the hurt of hunger in the Golden Crescent!

If you're interested in volunteering Saturday, contact Mary Lou at 361-578-0591 or mtrevino@foodbankgc.org.

Shop local or volunteer local or do BOTH this Saturday!

If you do one or the other or both, send us a pic on the station app! We'd love to feature you!

Don't forget the Texas Zoo, Children's Discovery Museum, or any of our fabulous museums or galleries like the Victoria Art League!
