KIXS 108 is your Texas Longhorn headquarters for the 2021 football season. If you remember back sixteen years ago, The Texas Longhorns national championship season began the exact same way! A home opener against the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns. Nearly on the exact date as well, Sept. 3, 2005. Will history repeat itself?
A PREVIEW OF THE SEASON WITH JORDAN WHITTINGTON
Thanks to our friends at Weber Motor Company we have the inside track to Texas Longhorn Football this year. We will be chatting with Jordan Whittington every week during the season. I had the chance to chat with Jordon over zoom ahead of tomorrow's UT season opener. Check out the video below.
A LOOK BACK AT JORDAN'S STATE MVP PERFORMANCE:
If you remember back in 2019, Jordan Whittington led the Cuero Gobblers to their first football state championship in over 30 years, as they defeated Texarkana Pleasant Grove, 40-28. Jordan was an absolute beast during the State Championship game. He was named the MVP on both sides of the ball for his record-breaking performance. His stats were ridiculous. He had 377 yards (43 receiving, 334 rushing yards), six touchdowns, and 11 tackles. He also tied a state record. His five rushing touchdowns tied Dwight Smith’s 4A title game record. We are all rooting for this Cuero Gobbler to do great things.
