Texas Teacher Arrested for Breaking Kindergartners Fingers
A Pflugerville ISD teacher has been accused of breaking a kindergartner's fingers was arrested on September 18. According to Fox 26 and court documents, McKinzie Merrell, 31, was arrested and released the same day. She was charges with injuring a child!
Surveillance footage from the day of the injury showed Merrell had her left arm around the child's shoulders and led him outside by his right hand. Paperwork shows that two teachers say Merrell told them the child hit her and kicked her shins, but this was not seen on surveillance video. Merrell said the child was trying to pull away, but she wasn't pulling too hard. Merrell says the child didn't mention anything hurting.

Texas School District Requires Students to Lock Up Phones
Another Texas school district will now require students to lock away their cell phone during school hours. Grand Prairie High School and South Grand Prairie High School are the latest school districts that will be required to place their cell phones in the locking Yondr pouch when they get to school.
