Shooting Disrupts Texas Church Festival, Leads to Event Cancellation
Over the weekend, family fun turned to terror at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Family Fair in Midland. The entertainment lineup featured some awesome Tejano entertainment including Texas Latino, Joe Posada, David Farias Y La Tropa F, and headliner Stefani Montiel. Shortly before David Farias was to take the stage, gun shots were heard and patrons ran for safety. The following statement was issued via social media from Loca Pasion, a Tribute to La Mafia.
The below video was posted to Tejano artist, Stefan Montiel TikTok page.
@therealstefanimontiel "Yesterday was meant to be a day of music, faith, and celebration with our band at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Midland. Instead, from our RV, we witnessed fear and heartbreak unfold. We are still shaken, but our hearts remain with this beautiful community. We’re praying for healing, strength, and peace. #Midland #MidlandStrong #OurLadyOfGuadalupe #FaithOverFear ♬ original sound - Stefani Montiel
