Texas School Bus Rolls Over With 58-Students on Wednesday Morning
This is parents worst nightmare, getting a call saying that the school bus that your child was on flipped over. That is exactly what happened during morning school rush hour in Cleveland, Texas. The Cleveland Independent School District reported a bus with almost 60 students flipped over on FM 1010 near Cleveland on Wednesday morning.
No serious injuries were reported in the rollover.
All students were evacuated and safely removed from the bus, and medical personnel were on site to help evaluate the kids. A total of 58 children were taken to area hospitals, and no serious injuries were reported. The cause of the crash is under full investigation. The parents were notified directly by the school.
FM 1010 has already had a bus rollover this week.
ABC 13 in Houston also reports that another bus has flipped over on Farm-to-Market Road 1010. The article states that a bus carrying high school students crashed into a ditch and flipped over. Fifty-nine students were on the bus, and 36 were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries.
Is there an unseen problem with FM 1010?
With 2 rollovers in the same week during the first week of school, the question then becomes, is there a major problem with FM 1010? This is a story that we will be following. Stay safe and have a great school year. As of Wednesday, August 13, officials with Liberty County and the local Sherriff's office have not commented on the safety of FM 1010.

Be sure you stop for school buses.
When you see a school bus stopped with the stop signs and flashing lights, both directions of traffic must stop! If not, that is a pretty hefty fine. In Victoria, it will cost you $210.00. Voiceovercop breaks it down on TikTok.
@voiceovercop#stitch with @Bay In this video, I respond to a question about whether drivers need to stop for a school bus on a divided highway. The problem? The clip the person is using to ask the question isn’t a divided highway at all—it’s clearly undivided. That’s where the confusion starts, and it’s a perfect example of why school bus safety rules trip people up. Yes, in this case, everyone traveling in either direction must stop. I break down why, explain the difference between divided and undivided highways, and clear up some common misconceptions so you can avoid dangerous mistakes (and expensive tickets).
