I remember being excited about pizza day when I was in school. I mean, those square pepperoni pizzas were the bomb. However, I don't remember ever getting any with mold on it! That is not the case for one Texas Middle School! Recently, a parent of a middle school student posted the below photo to social media. This occurred at Byrd Middle School in Duncanville ISD. The meal consisted of a fruit cup and pizza that already had a few bits taken out of it. According to KNUE,  the Duncanville ISD, there were no reports of issues with food made to the school or district. They do know about the picture and comments online and are working to do more quality control. All other food in the kitchen has been checked to make sure this isn’t an ongoing issue.

SCHOOL PRANK GONE TOO FAR?:

A prank went a little too far at Caney Creek High School just outside of Houston.  According to KHOU, Conroe ISD said students and staff first became aware of a gas smell near the cafeteria Wednesday morning. They evacuated the school as the Caney Creek Fire Department and Conroe ISD maintenance staff investigated where the smell was coming from. After searching every corner of the campus with gas detectors, they could not find the source of the smell. Students were dismissed early because of this. The event occurred about two weeks ago.
