Taylor Swift’s Grammys Bracelet Was Made by a Young Cancer Patient
Taylor Swift looked gorgeous on the red carpet of the 2013 Grammy Awards earlier this month, thanks in part to a beautiful bracelet designed by a young cancer patient.
In partnership with Gabrielle's Angels Foundation, famed jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz worked with Jaimin -- a young boy who already had an eye for jewelry design -- to create the stunning champagne diamond and amethyst-adorned bracelet worn by the 'Begin Again' hitmaker.
And according to People's StyleWatch, the world-renowned Bergdorf Goodman department store in New York City has already requested the bracelet for retail -- not knowing the creator was just a child.
"He wanted diamonds to sparkle because Taylor sparkles,” Schwartz shares of Jaimin’s bracelet.
Speaking of her goodwill foundation, which was created in memory of her late mother, Schwartz shares, "One of the most memorable times for our family was when my mother made jewelry during her treatments. It was so therapeutic for all of us. We still have those pieces and cherish them.”
Pop megastars Beyonce, Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus also attended the biggest night in music wearing pieces of jewelry crafted by young cancer patients. Swift is known as one of country music's philanthropic leaders, especially with efforts that deals with pediatric patients.
