South Texas wildlife doesn’t disappoint. A viral game cam photo shows a raccoon hitching a ride on a javelina like it’s straight out of a Disney movie.
Their conservation efforts for Louisiana pine snakes began in 2015 to preserve the highly endangered species. Their efforts have allotted for the release of nearly 230 snakes into the wild, including 75 snakes that were just released on May 9, 2024.
According to KXAN based in Austin, Texas, "The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center released its official spring wildflower forecast for Central Texas Wednesday morning."
A representative for the Wildflower Center told KXAN that the upcoming bluebonnet season is 'looking really good.'
