It starts today...the Watermelon Thump in Luling, Texas. It's a four day Festival of FUN! Thousands of people descend upon Luling to enjoy this timeless Texas tradition honoring the nutritious, wonderful watermelon.

Luling's annual Watermelon Thump is a four-day celebration of everyone's favorite summer treat - watermelon. The festival includes a carnival, kiddie rides, food booths, live entertainment, watermelon seed spitting contest, watermelon eating contest and more.

It's one of my favorite times of year. It's like a huge family reunion complete with your favorite foods and beverages. It's time for the Watermelon Thump in Luling!!
