AUSTIN - According to a news release from TxDOT, vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death among teenagers. In an effort to curb this deadly trend, the Texas Department of Transportation is partnering with more than 900 Texas high schools to remind teens to “Click It or Ticket.”

As part of national Child Passenger Safety Week, Sept. 14-20, the Texas Department of Transportation reminds drivers that free, year-round child safety seat checks are available at the agency’s 25 statewide district offices. Available by appointment, the safety checks are conducted by certified technicians who can determine if your child is properly buckled into an age- and size-appropriate safety

The Texas Transportation Plan (TTP) 2040 will define the Texas Department of Transportation’s long-range goals for all transportation modes — roadways, transit, pedestrian, bicycle and freight.
