RaeLynn stopped by the Taste of Country offices to perform her new single ‘God Made Girls’ this week. The country firecracker sang an emotional version of the song over a simple acoustic guitar, which we caught on tape to share with you.

RaeLynn, who got her start on Team Blake on Season 2 of 'The Voice,' released her single 'Boyfriend' at the end of 2012, but we haven't heard too much from her since then. She's been kind of quiet. Until now.

A gritty southern drawl shows signs of a vocalist seasoned with a lifetime of experience, but RaeLynn's 'Boyfriend' lyrics, which she co-penned, are the words of an 18-year-old singer who is still just a girl dodging the frustrations of young love.

Don't trust that grapefruit-sized flower growing from RaeLynn's platinum blonde hair. This girl and her first single 'Boyfriend' are absolute country trouble with a capital "T." But rarely has trouble sounded this much fun.

Season 2 'The Voice' contestant, that firecracker known as RaeLynn, returned the stage where we first met her this evening (Dec. 11) to debut her brand new single 'Boyfriend.' She performed the song live on the elimination episode of the show, which should remind the remaining Season 3 hopefuls of what's possible whether or not you win the whole thing.

Country up and comer RaeLynn celebrated opening for her “big sister” and No. 1 supporter Miranda Lambert –that is, No. 1 supporter after her ‘The Voice’ coach and Lambert’s hubby Blake Shelton– by sharing an amazing photo of the backstage happenings! Lambert’s Pistol Annies were also on the bill. Girl power was in full effect.
