They may be mostly Country these days but, Charlie Daniels has always had their roots in Southern Rock. I remember seeing them twice in the 70's, once with the Marshall Tucker Band and once with Lynyrd Skynyrd. Both times, they were great. The boys from Fort Payne, Ala. were trailing until the end, when they surged ahead and took the title of Best Country Band of All Time.
