Charlie Daniels has announced the release of a new album, 'Night Hawk'.

They may be mostly Country these days but, Charlie Daniels has always had their roots in Southern Rock. I remember seeing them twice in the 70's, once with the Marshall Tucker Band and once with Lynyrd Skynyrd. Both times, they were great. The last hour of voting during the finals of March Bandness was frenzied, to say the least. Thousands of fans of Alabama and the Charlie Daniels Band cast a ballot in the waning minutes. The boys from Fort Payne, Ala. were trailing until the end, when they surged ahead and took the title of Best Country Band of All Time.
