It's great to see local young people give back to the community. Alyse Gonzales from Victoria is doing just that. She has taken it upon herself to help the Keep Port A Beautiful organization.

As a Victoria resident, you might wonder why Alyse invests her time in Port A. She shares that she spends a significant part of her summer there, and her desire to keep the beach clean reflects our shared responsibility for our environment.

Alyse graduated from Victoria West High School and will be a sophomore at Texas Tech University this fall, majoring in Sports Management. She thinks you should give back, and we agree and salute her.

The "Shoreline Sweep" will be held at the beach in Port Aransas on June 28th, starting at 9:00 AM. Everyone is invited to meet at The Keepers at Caldwell Pier 230 N on the beach, Port Aransas, Texas.

You can pre-register by calling 361-550-2966. Shoreline Sweep is open to all ages. The timing is excellent. Tropical Storm Alberto most likely brought in lots of debris from the Gulf. You might find a treasure while helping out with a great cause.
