STJ and Other Local Crossroads Schools Receive Bomb Threats
As a parent of STJ, I was surprised to get a group school text at 3:51 pm offering that " All STJ HIgh School on-campus- events scheduled for today April 20th have been canceled." The text went on to offer that a group email was sent to parents for more information.
According to the email sent by John Gilley, IV, STJ President at 3:49 pm " Ths afternoon St. Joseph High School received a bomb threat via telephone at the school."
All on-campus events for the remainder of day were immediately canceled.
The email goes on to say, " After speaking to the Victoria Police Department, we have learned that other schools have also received similar threats.
We are currently investigating which other local schools received similar threats.
The email assured parents that our Victoria Police Department will work diligently to determine the credibility of this threat, but STJ Administration and that as new information was offered communication to parents and families would be made.
At this time it looks as if STJ plans to return to " normal operations" tomorrow Thursday, April, 21st. Mr. Gilley extended gratitude for our cooperation and understanding.
Let us know via app OR in the Facebook comments if your Crossroads school received a similar threat via telephone.
We will also continue to keep you posted.
Stay safe Crossroads.
