Remembering Revenge of the Sith

Regardless of the overall score I may have given to the Star Wars prequels when they were released, I thought that both Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christenson both nailed their roles in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.

Now I'm not saying that, like everyone else, I was not a tad disappointed with the prequels (and the most recent trilogy). However, I thought Ewan and Hayden did a great job taking over those characters. There was a time when I didn't think anyone's rendition of Obiwan would make me forget Sir Alec Guinness, but when I see McGregor in other films the first thing I think of is "oh, there's Obiwan". I thought Hayden did a good job as Anakin, and sure the script and his scenes could have been better. Nothing beats that fight scene above though. If anything, the prequels gave us three pretty great lightsaber battles if not more.

The Force is Coming to San Antonio

Fans of the Star Wars universe will get a chance to meet these two actors coming up this summer at San Antonio's Celebrity Fan Fest. Ya can't call it a comic con but it's gonna feel very similar. The event will take place at Six Flags Fiesta Texas from July 30th to August 8th. McGregor will appear July 31st and August 1st, with Christenson in attendance on July 31st as well. Fans will also get to meet Joonas Suotamo (Chewbacca) according to sacurrent.com. Tickets for photos and autographs with the Jedi themselves can be found here if you hurry.
