Do you love spring cleaning? How about being a volunteer?

Well, we've got an opportunity you don't want to miss!

Spring cleaning in Bloomington Texas is just around the corner and volunteers are needed.

Victoria County, Victoria County Commissioner Danny Garcia, in collaboration with Victoria Calhoun Grain Company, Inc., Waste Management and local Bloomington residents, is pleased to announce the Fourth Annual Bloomington Spring Community Cleanup.

The event will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2024, offering residents a convenient opportunity to dispose of unwanted items and help beautify the community.

Volunteers will gather at 8:00 a.m. at the VFW Hall, located at 94 Katribe Street, to begin cleanup efforts.

Bloomington residents can drop off various items at the Courtesy Station between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. free of charge.

Additionally, volunteers will provide pick-up services for residents who need assistance removing items from their homes until 11:00 a.m.

Are you a Bloomington resident that needs help with getting rid of heavy items?

Volunteers can help you with that as well.

Make sure you follow a few simple guidelines to help facilitate the volunteers schedule

Accepted Items Include: • Household garbage • Furniture • Refrigerators (must be free of Freon and doors removed) • Window units (must be free of Freon) • Metal • Tire (without the rim) • Paint (must be dry) Please Note: Construction debris will not be accepted.
