Six Area Football Teams are State Ranked

While area teams are heading into week 8 of High School Football, the story is different here in Victoria due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  The East Titans will play only their third game this season this Friday, while West Warriors will play only their second, both games are district 15-5A Division 1 matchups.

The West Warriors(0-1,0-0) will host on Corpus Christi King (0-3,0-2) at Frost Bank Memorial Stadium, Thursday Night, 7 P M.  Watch the full broadcast on our sister stations' Q92 Facebook page.  

The East Titans(2-1,1-1) will take on Flour Bluff(2-0,1-0) on Friday night at Flour Bluff, 7:30 P.M.

Now let's take a look at some of the State ranked teams from the area, starting right here in Victoria with the St. Joseph Flyers.

TAPPS Division II: The St. Joseph Flyers are currently ranked 12th in the state.  The Flyers(1-0,0-0) will open their district schedule this Friday night against Lutheran South(1-1,0-0)

2A State Rankings:

#1 Shiner Commanches:   This weeks matchup: Shiner(6-0,2-0) will host Ganado(3-3,2-0)

#3 Refugio Bobcats: This weeks matchup: Refugio(6-0,2-0) at Kennedy(4-1,2-0)

#6 Hallettsville Brahmas: This weeks matchup: Hallettsville(4-2,1-0) at Boling(3-2,0-1)

#7 Yoakum Bulldogs: This weeks matchup: Yoakum(5-0,1-0) will host Columbus(5-1,1-0)

 4A State Rankings: 

#7 Calhoun Sandcrabs: This weeks matchup: Calhoun(5-1,1-0) at Tuloso-Midway(3-3,0-1)
