Sea Life San Antonio Opens at the Shops at RiverCenter
A trip to the Riverwalk in San Antonio is near the top of almost any Texans 'to-do' list each year as it's one of the most relaxing ways to spend a weekend. Sitting and sipping while you watch the activity along the river is a great way to spend a Saturday, but now the city is taking things to a whole new level with 'Sea Life San Antonio'.
The new exhibit is located at The Shops at RiverCenter and officially opens on Tuesday, May 25th. For now, tickets to take a trip under the sea must be purchased in advance. You can check out all the info on tickets and admission with this link.

What's Under the Sea?
Sneak previews show the new Sea Life San Antonio will be home to almost 3000 species. The exhibit includes the Ocean Tunnel, Interactive Rockpool, Stingray Bay, Shipwreck, and a Seahorse Mangrove area. As you wind through the exhibits you'll see sharks, jellyfish, clownfish, octopus, turtles, and plenty of wide-eyed kids staring right back at them.
Tickets start at around $25 dollars according to their website but families who really want the most band for their buck will be happy to know that you can upgrade these tickets to include San Antonio's Legoland Discovery Center. Now the weekend will be as much fun as Christmas morning for just about any kid.
Behind The Scenes
Now that Sea Life San Antonio is officially open, visitors will be able to purchase a behind-the-scenes tour when they purchase their admission ticket. Select a time for your group to take the tour when you first buy your admission ticket. You'll return at your selected time to be shown all that goes into putting this one-of-a-kind exhibit together as crews tour you through the life support, filtration, and all the components of their water quality systems. You'll get to see the crews prepare meals for all the critters, and check out the staff's research areas. All four of my nieces and nephews will love seeing this and I can't wait to get them over there for a visit.
