Saturday CharlieMac Drink Specials
I don't know about you, but weather like this makes me just want to stay inside and just hang out with friends and family. However, is there enough at home to keep the group busy to wait out the storm? Well, there are always chores to do, or movies to watch but maybe there is something you can do to make more fun out of it and getting thirsty could be problem. Thankfully, there are ways to ensure you don't have to go thirsty, provided you do a little pre-planning. Here is a drink recipe that is easy to make as it is lazy...
Shotgun Cocktail (original source)
½ oz Jack Daniels
½ oz Jim Beam
½ oz Wild Turkey
Layer the drink by starting with Jack Daniels, then the Jim Beam and then top it off with the Wild Turkey. No garnish necessary (it’s a shot after all, you don’t garnish a shot…I mean you could, but that just wastes time you could be using to actually take the shot)
Shots are not a bad way to keep the fun going in a party setting, but the problem with shots is that they are just too small. Maybe some larger drinks would help and can keep the evening chugging along. This next recipe should be perfect for just that...
Legend’s Honky Tonk Lemonade (original source)
½ oz vodka
½ oz triple sec
½ oz blue curacao
½ lemon, juiced
Splash lemon-lime soda
Splash sweet and sour mix
2 teaspoons sugar
Mix up ingredients in a shaker with ice then strain into a glass. If you happen to have one, feel free to garnish with a cherry (but that is completely optional)
Townsquare Media and KIXS 108 does not condone underage drinking and encourages you to drink responsibly. Have a safe and fun weekend!
