The Children's Discovery Museum is having a ribbon cutting at 1 p.m. Saturday for a miniature village built by Robert Roller, of Yorktown. Roller has been building this village for his 3-year-old grandson since Christmas time. The village boasts 20 hand-built buildings.

As reported by the Victoria Advocate, before Roller sends his landscape to his grandson in Austin, it will be on display at The Children's Discovery Museum, 204 N. Main St., through July 31. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Admission is $5 a person or free for children 23 months and under. For Father's Day weekend, all fathers will be admitted free of charge.
