Victoria’s Chick-fil-A restaurant on North Navarro in front of HEB Plus has been closed since early-June for remodeling, and was supposed to have reopened this past Tuesday. However, the heavy rains in the area during the last month delayed the construction process. The new target date to reopen the Navarro location is Tuesday, July 8th.

Restaurant owner/operator David Murphy said a higher-capacity kitchen and second drive-thru lane have been added to make the restaurant more efficient. The restaurant has also been given a new paint job. The total cost of the remodel was an estimated $2 million.

So if you've been missing your Chick-fil-A fix (although the Victoria Mall location has remained open while the Navarro store was being remodeled), you'll be able to satisfy that craving again starting July 8th. As part of the grand reopening celebration, the first 100 customers through the doors will win free Chick-fil-A food for a year.

Cows everywhere are breathing a huge sigh of relief.
