It's time for one of my favorite topics, The Lottery! There were no winning tickets were sold on Tuesday nights jackpot of $865 million Mega Millions jackpot.  The current jackpot is  ONE BILLION DOLLARS.  The cash option is estimated at $739 million. Why? There has not been a jackpot winner since September.

A $970 million payout would be the second-largest in Mega Millions history.  Back in 2018, the jackpot was an astounding  $1.54 billion dollars and I remember the craziness that went along with it and it's happening again.  Our Director of Content, Wes Adams, said that there were people lined up out the door at Cimarron Junction just last night.    I have also seen this at a couple of other stores. The odds of hitting a Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350.  Let the craziness ensure and good luck!

Here are a few fun odds things that are more likely to happen to you than winning Mega Millions.

If the Mega Millions jackpot is won this Friday, it would be the third-largest lotto prize ever, below only two jackpots exceeding $1.5 billion – the world-record Powerball jackpot of $1.586 billion (January 13, 2016) and the current Mega Millions record of $1.537 billion (October 23, 2018). The latter prize is the world’s largest won on a single ticket, as the record Powerball jackpot was shared by three winning tickets.
