[VIDEO] Mattress Mack Stands Up for Houston

As always Mattress Mack steps up for Houston! The same morning Hurricane Beryl made landfall last week, he opened up his Gallery Furniture Showroom floor as a shelter. Gallery Furniture has been functioning as a cooling center and has been providing breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Mack estimates about 15,000 people came to his shelter during the past week! He says, it's the right thing to do!

MATTRESS MACK CALLS OUT CENTERPOINT:

A video has started to go viral yesterday where Mattress Mack slams Centerpoint for the handling of the Power outages after Hurricane Beryl. He calls the company "Centerpointless" and says they should be "ashamed" for putting "profit over people." Take a look at the video below. Thank you, Mack, for standing for Houston.

If you remember back to Hurricane Harvey, Mattress Mack transformed his furniture stores into shelters for Hurricane Harvey victims providing food and water. He also sent out his company’s moving trucks to help and rescue about 200 people. McIngvale has become a well-known figure in the city who has a history of donating to charitable causes and opening his furniture stores as shelters.

During Hurricane Katrina in 2005, McIngvale opened two of his stores to 200 people who had fled New Orleans seeking shelter.

Mattress Mack is well-known for giving back year-round. Along with donating to multiple charities throughout the year. He hosts an annual Christmas giveaway and does so many other things in the Houston community.

Mattress Mack has a big pocketbook and a big heart to match and this is why we love Mattress Mack!
