The jackpot is over 2 months in the making.

This jackpot has been growing since June 2. The last Powerball winner won $207 million. The current $565 million jackpot is the largest since earlier this year in March. If someone wins and takes the cash option, they would take home $258.8 million. Very rarely does someone take the 30-year payout.

What are my chances of hitting the jackpot?

When jackpots hit these astronomical numbers, ticket sales go up, and sometimes you go up to 5 or 6 months without a winner. So, it makes you think, what are the odds? One in 292,201,338 to be exact. Let's put that into perspective, your odds of getting struck by lightning are 1 in 1,222,000.

I won $2500 on a manual win-all ticket.

While I have never hit the big jackpot, I have won a claimer. A claimer is a ticket that is $1000 or over.  I purchased a $5 $50,000 Poker ticket and won with a manual win-all. A manual win-all is you win on your chances to win. What an incredible feeling.
