Local Cowboy Headed to National High School Rodeo Finals

There is a long, rich tradition of rodeo in South Texas and KIXS 108 is proud to feature our young folks as they carry on that tradition and show the rest of the country what we can do in Victoria, Texas. Lane McGehee, a Victoria East High School sophomore, will compete in the National High School Finals Rodeo on July 13-19 in Rock Springs, Wyo. Lane won third in bareback riding at the Texas High School Rodeo on June 9-14 in Abilene and advanced to the national level of the competition. He is the son of Carl McGehee, of Victoria, and Deana Garcia, of Cibolo.
