Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!

Okay, we've got to be real here.

It's likely NOT going to snow in Victoria in 2020 for Christmas, like it did during our big Christmas snow miracle in 2004 or our little freak snow show in December 2017.

Still, it is South Texas and we can dare to dream! Plus, let's NOT forget the age-old adage about South Texas weather, " If you don't like the weather in South Texas, give it ten minutes."

With that, let me tell ya, The Farmer's Almanac for 2021 offers this little ray of hope for a white winter before winter ends!!!! "Winter will be milder and drier than normal, with below-normal snowfall in places that normally receive snow. The coldest periods will be in mid-November, early to mid-December, and late January. "The best chance for snow will be in late January."- Farmers Almanac

Let's see what January brings!

It's with snow in mind that we bring you a little flashback to 2017 when we all got another chance to enjoy some snow, like one of our very own, Melissa Rivera, who got her snow show on video below!

If that flashback doesn't give you goosebumps, these pictures, taken around the Crossroads during our too far in between snow days, will!

Has your Facebook feed been flooded with snow memories??? Share them with us on the app! We might use them in an upcoming article!

Enjoy these photos from Leslie Preslar.

Happy Holidays! Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!

Snow Day 2017

One thing I remember most about the Big Snow of 2004 was not having the right clothes for a truly snowy day! We ran around making snowmen with socks on our hands! I might have been underdressed, but I knew how to take care of my plants in the winter. Here are tips to help you too.
