Kane Brown and his wife Katelyn Jae showed up at the 2019 CMT Music Awards on Wednesday night (June 5) with their baby girl in tow -- well, sort of. Jae's baby bump made its red carpet debut at the Nashville event, the expectant first-time parents glowing as they stopped to chat with media and pose for photos.

Readers can see pics of Brown and Jae on the 2019 CMT Music Awards red carpet in the photo gallery below. Brown earned two nominations at the ceremony, and performed during the event.

Brown and Jae revealed that they are expecting a baby on April 15. The couple got married on Oct. 12, 2018, after meeting in 2015 through a mutual work acquaintance. Jae is also in the music business -- she studies music management -- and has dabbled in performing in the past.

"She came to one of my shows, and the first time I saw her, it was the shy giddiness," Brown tells Taste of Country Nights. "I didn't know what was going to happen. She lived in Orlando [and] was in Miami."

Still, both felt a connection that couldn't be hampered by distance: "I messaged her on Instagram the next night and said, 'Hey, when are we going to hang out?' and flew her down," Brown shared, "and she hasn't left since."

Brown and Jae got engaged on Easter 2017, in a rather unique way: while they were watching The Amityville Horror, the plot of which involves a newly married couple moving into a house where murders took place. He tells People it was a “weird proposal," but he "just couldn’t wait" for his planned romantic gesture, which involved "rose petals and everything like that."

On the Billboard Music Awards red carpet in early May, Brown admitted to Billboard that he's got major baby fever. "I wish I could just fast-forward and make it to where it’s already here," he said at the time.
