1963: the "Patsy Cline Story" album by Patsy Cline was released.
1988: Garth Brooks signed with Capitol Records.
1992: Garth Brooks' album "No Fences" was certified for multi-Platinum sales of eight-million.
1995: Martie Erwin of the Dixie Chicks married Ted Seidel in Dallas, Texas.
1997: new album releases included Lonestar's "Crazy Nights" album, Ricochet's release, "Blink of An Eye," and Lila McCann's debut collection, "Lila."
Also in 1997: Lee Roy Parnell was inducted into the Walkway of Stars at the Country Music Hall of Fame.
1998: Doug Stone and his wife Beth welcomed daughter Baily Rebecca into the world.
1999: ground was broken at what is now the site of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville.
2000: webcasts began of the Grand Ole Opry radio broadcasts, which had been carried on local Nashville station 650 AM WSM since 1925.
