"Make Me Want To" singer Jimmie Allen dropped to a knee, and she said "yes!" The 33-year-old Taste of Country RISERS star proposed to 23-year-old girlfriend Alexis Gale on Monday night (July 15) in Florida.

Allen proposed to his bride-to-be in front of Cinderella's castle at Magic Kingdom in front of both of their parents, their sisters and his cousin. The couple — who are both from Milton, Delaware — began dating in the spring after meeting through Allen's cousin's wife.

Allen tells People the couple had "an immediate connection." That bond became even stronger when he introduced her to his 5-year-old son from a previous relationship, Aadyn.

“Her smile melts me, her pure heart challenges me to love better, the way she motivates and supports me is unlike anything I’ve ever seen, the way she loves me and my son is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced," he gushes. "It feels incredible to find the type of love I’ve been writing songs about all these years!"

The couple have not yet publicly revealed their wedding plans.

Allen reached No. 1 with his debut single, "Best Shot," in 2018. "Make Me Want To" is the follow-up to that song. Both songs appear on Allen's debut album, Mercury Lane.
