According to this KHOU article, a bar owner in New York's capital city of Albany has filed a lawsuit against Texas because our Lieutenant Governor had the audacity to propose calling a New York strip steak a Texas strip. We are the beef state after all, if you have ever eaten a New York strip, odds are very high the cow that donated the cut was from Texas.

Whether or not people start calling a cut of beef by a new name is never going to affect sales. If anything it will gain more engagement between the patron and the guest.
