Some stories just smack you right in the feels and this one’s got a dog, a sheep, and a sheriff’s office. A Texas sheepdog just pulled off a scene so loyal it could’ve been straight out of a movie.

A Great Pyrenees and a sheep were spotted wandering up to the Sheriff’s Office in Angleton, Texas. Animal Welfare Services noticed the two and quickly stepped in. The department posted a photo of the pair online with a simple message:

“This guardian sheep dog and his friend showed up at the Sheriff’s Office in Angleton. If these two beauties are yours, please call 979-864-2365.”

What really caught attention, though, were the comments. Locals immediately praised the dog for doing exactly what he was bred to do: protect his sheep and never leave its side.

Many even quoted scripture, writing: He left the 99 to find the 1. Luke 15.”

Still looking for an owner.

The post has since been flooded with heartwarming reactions, with some joking that the sheepdog clearly knew the safest place to take his buddy was straight to law enforcement. For now, the duo is safe and sound as officials search for their owner.

Can you take your dog to the beach?

Did you know not all beaches are dog-friendly? First of all, if you dislike dogs enough to ban them from a beach, I don't want to go there anyway. Some dogs are more well-behaved than humans, not mine, but some.

Anyways, now that I've thrown my dog under the bus, check out some of the dog-friendly beaches in Texas.
