UPDATE: A 17-year-old suspect has been identified, arrested, and charged with capitol murder.

 17-year-old, Adiel Sandoval, was arrested and charged with capital murder in connection to a deadly shooting in Houston on Tuesday evening. The incident left 3 people dead, including Sandoval’s 23-year-old brother, Juan Sandoval.

According to court documents, the altercation began as a disturbance between Adiel Sandoval, his brother Juan, and two 17-year-olds, Eddie Gomez and Jonathan Hernandez. The situation escalated when gunfire was exchanged in the laundry room.

Adiel allegedly called out to his brother for help before firing into the room. It remains unclear who initiated the shooting, but witnesses claimed the teens in the laundry room had a gun that appeared to be fake.

Adiel Sandoval, the sole survivor, fled the scene after the shooting, but was located the following day.

Sandoval was charged with capital murder and booked into the Harris County Jail. While a bond has not been set, if granted, it would include conditions prohibiting Sandoval from having any contact with members of the MS-13 street gang.

3 people, including two teens, were murdered inside a Houston apartment complex laundromat during a violent shootout.

Around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5th, a small disturbance led to a bloody and violent end at the Tierra de Sol apartment complex in Houston, Texas. According to the Houston Police Department, three people were killed during the deadly altercation.

According to HPD Assistant Chief Alvaro Guzman, two 17-year-olds were inside the complex's laundromat when an argument broke out with two other men. Suddenly, things escalated into a full-on shootout.

RESIDENTS HEAR A DOZEN GUNSHOTS

One resident who was in the area heard everything, "I thought it was fireworks at first but it was gunshots. I heard like 12 shots."

When police arrived, the two 17-year-old teenagers were dead inside the laundromat. A third victim was found outside the laundromat, he was rushed to the hospital for his gunshot injuries but did not survive.

"A very tragic event here. We have family that's here. We have young lives that have been lost," Guzman said.
