When it comes to the government it’s difficult to say that people in Texas have a lot of trust in our leaders. This could be the same all over the country, but I know living in Texas is feels like no one here has much faith in them making life better for us here because we continue to see prices going up on essential things we need with no end in sight. Which is why it was interesting to me when there was an article about the best run cities in the country and there were quite a few Texas cities that made the list.

Hearing that we have so many well-run cities here in Texas is almost like a breath of fresh air, while we can’t seem to get things right in Washington D.C. it’s good to hear that so many people on a more local level are doing everything they can to help their citizens live their best life.  

How Did They Decide the Best Run Cities List? 

The good people at WalletHub put this list together and they looked at a few different metrics then coming up with this list. One of the key metrics they used was “quality of services”, meaning how well officials manage and spend public funds comparing the quality of services residents get against their cities total budget.
