A woman was attacked in Houston during a robbery, leaving her with life-changing conditions.

WALKING AROUND A SHOPPING CENTER

Nhung Truong had just stopped at a bank to withdraw money for an upcoming trip. She stopped at a nearby shopping center on Bellaire Blvd where she was seen walking around on camera.

The video shows 17-year-old Joseph Harrell walking near Truong when out of nowhere she attacks her. Right, when they are about to pass each other Harrell is seen grabbing Truong, shaking her around, and causing her to drop her items.

Truong falls to the ground, snatches what looks like her wallet, and tries taking off. Harrell begins taking off as well, but immediately turns back around and rushes toward Truong. He quickly wraps his arms around her picks her up, then slams her on the ground.

KNOCKED DOWN AND UNCONSCIOUS

Harrell is seen on video grabbing what looks like a wallet from the ground and sprinting off. Meanwhile, Truong does not seem to be moving. Police arrived shortly after the attack and Detective Tyrus Fontenot with the Houston Police Department said Truong was unconscious for a while before being taken to the hospital.

Truong suffered an incredibly serious back injury and hasn't been able to walk since.

REPEAT OFFENDER

Police were able to identify and track down Harrell and his getaway driver, 19-year-old Zy'Nika Ayesha Woods. Harrell and Woods were both charged with aggravated robbery. Detective Fontenot added that Harrell also had a previous aggravated robbery charge from a separate case. His bond was originally set at $200,000 but has recently been reduced to $100,000.
