Maddie & Tae have put their harmonious voices to a rendition of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" that's worth adding to your holiday playlist.

The twosome keep it simple on the arrangement, creating a cinematic sound with soothing violin and piano. With a dash of jingle bell mixed in, the duo evoke the feeling of walking through snowy forest, their voices blending serenely as they sing the classic lyrics, "Through the years, we all will be together / If the fates allow / Hang a shining star upon the highest bow / And have yourself a merry little Christmas now."

The iconic song made its debut when it was performed by Judy Garland in the 1944 film Meet Me in St. Louis. Martina McBride, Vince Gill and Amy Grant are among the other country stars who have released cover versions of the holiday staple over the years.

Maddie & Tae recently released their new EP Everywhere I'm Goin' — the second of three EPs leading up to their sophomore album.

"It's everyone's journey, but we really felt that we've lived that really hard over the past three years. So it's been nice to tell this story and live it at the same time," Dye tells Taste of Country about Everywhere I'm Goin.'

The "Girl in a Country Song" singers recently wrapped up a stint as an opening act on Carrie Underwood's Cry Pretty Tour 360 and performed in a tribute to the women of country that opened the 2019 CMA Awards.
