JUST ANNOUNCED: George Strait Will Play Two Shows in Austin in Ap

George Strait has started with some huge news for country fans in central and south Texas! Just announced: George Strait and William Beckmann on Thursday, April 9, and Saturday, April 11 at the Moody Center. It is certain that these two shows will sell out almost immediately

A limited number of presale tickets will be available.

Limited presale tickets go on sale on Monday (01/26/26) at noon with a special code. Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, January 30, at 10 a.m. Get more tickets and even more information by clicking here. No mention of ticket prices has been published yet. It will probably be pretty steep.

This is definitely a smaller venue for a Strait performances.

The Moody Center has a capacity of around 16,000 people, which is a smaller venue for George Strait. Last year, George Strait announced back to back shows in Lubbock and Jones Stadium, and both of those shows only have tickets available on the secondary market.

Which means Strait had no problem selling around 121,000 for a two night engagement. Which means 32,000 tickets will sell out immediately. This also means tickets on the secondary market will be very expensive. Good luck getting tickets.

I have the experience of a George Strait concert in San Antonio back in the early 2000's. Not only George Strait, but Tracy Lawrence and an up-and-coming Miranda Lambert performed. That was an incredible show.
