Some George Strait Concert Attendees Scammed in a Parking Lot
On Saturday night, College Station was busier than it had ever been with the record-breaking George Strait concert! Almost 111,000 people were in attendance to witness the King of Country music. There was money to be made everywhere and scammers knew this as well. One of these schemes caused many concertgoers' vehicles to get towed!
PARKING LOT SCAM:
The College Station Police Department reports that on the Saturday afternoon of the George Strait concert, police confirmed that individuals posing as parking attendants were charging people to park in lots at apartment complexes, such as Treehouse Apartments.
These individuals were not authorized to do so. As a result, several cars were towed and the scammers got away with the money. According to KWTX, suspects have been identified, but they are asking anyone who may have fallen victim to this scam to come forward and file a report.

VICTORIA AND THE CROSSROADS LOVE KING GEORGE!
We asked our Facebook fans from the Victoria and Crossroads area if they went and if they would share their pictures from the event with us. We posted many of them on the KIXS 108 Facebook page. We can't share them here, but you can visit the KIXS 108 Facebook page to see them all.
Let's take a look at some great pictures from the event.
They all had a great time at the record-setting event to see the Texas treasure, George Strait.
George Strait has the most Number-One records of any artist or genre. He has also charted a Top Ten record every year for 30 years.
One of our friends, Caleigh Rae Lienemann, said "Yes" during Check Yes or No. That Sweet Fountainz Bakery team was there, as was Maricella Ramirez and her crew.
The event seemingly went off without a hitch. The Crossroads Fans had a once-in-a-lifetime experience, part of live music history books.
