The City of Victoria Parks & Recreation is hosting the Fourth of July Blastoff at Riverside Park, culminating in a fireworks display visible throughout the park.

In the main viewing area on the Riverside Stadium turf, the fireworks will be visible from several parking lots at:

  • The Children’s Park
  • Riverside Park duck pond
  • Riverside Golf Course parking lot
  • Riverside Stadium
  • Riverside Soccer Complex
  • The Texas Zoo

The fireworks can also be seen from designated overflow parking in the following areas:

  • Red River Street and Young Drive
  • Red River Street and Bluff Street
  • Red River Street and Memorial Drive
  • North intersection of McCright Drive and Memorial Drive (near the Easter Island head)

For safety reasons, people should not enter Riverside Golf Course to watch the fireworks show and should only park on the grass in designated overflow parking areas.

Fun at the Ballpark

The Victoria Rosebuds and Parks & Recreation’s fall baseball league will host activities at Riverside Stadium for anyone looking to enjoy America’s pastime.

  • 4-5 p.m.: Play catch on the field
  • 5-6:30 p.m.: Home run contest
  • 6:30-8:30 p.m.: Victoria Rosebuds will play a game

Live music

The music lineup for the event is as follows:

  • 4 p.m.: Pat Matula and the Lone Star Playboys
  • 5:30 p.m.: Rick Evans
  • 7:30 p.m.: Joel Nava

Following the fireworks show, there will be acoustic performances by Stephanie Ross & the Southern Drive Band at the Special Events Area and Jett Truss at Riverside Stadium.
