Fiddlers Frolics is Back This Weekend in Hallettsville
Founded in 1971, Fiddlers' Frolics is the Texas State Championship fiddle contest. The event is held every year in Hallettsville, TX, during the fourth weekend in April, except last year.
WHERE IS IT HAPPENING?
Fiddlers Frolics, as always will be held in Hallettsville at the KC HALL today, tomorrow, and Sunday. This is where the best Fiddlers in the state compete for big-time prize money. IS EACH NIGHT THEMED?
Friday is a Cajun fun night that will feature Crawfish, red beans, and rice. They will also have burgers for the non-crawfish fans. Saturday is Texas music at its best featuring the Texas Unlimted Band. There will also be a BBQ Cookoff on Saturday. Sunday is reserved for the fiddle championship showdown alongside your headliner DarrenMcCall.
THE MORNING WILL KICK OFF WITH A 5K:
The 5k Run or Walk is presented by the Hallettsville Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture. The Race will begin on FM 318 next to the Lavaca County Sheriff's Office. At the conclusion of the 5k, awards and refreshments will be at the KC Hall's Biergarten.Race Day Registration & Late Registration 6:30 a.m.Race Begins at 7:30 a.m.
