February VIP Show Features the Powerful Voice of Joel Nava

It's time for another up close and personal KIXS 108 VIP experience! Joel Nava will be performing for our VIPs on Thursday, February 15th in our VIP Lounge. He will be doing an acoustical set featuring a little Country and a little Tejano. You will also hear some stories from Joel's storied career in the music industry. Of course, your beverages will be provided courtesy of Del Papa Distributing and the official afterparty at Dodge City Saloon.

Of course, your only way into the show is to win by listening to the JP in the morning show on KIXS 108. For a bonus chance to win, you can qualify by registering below.  This show is going to be awesome.

That same night will be the final qualifying round for the Victoria Livestock Show Karaoke contest. The grand prize for the karaoke contest will be $1000 and the finals will be at the Beer Garden. 

Pride of Texas Carnival Dates/Beer Garden Entertainment

The Pride of Texas is back as part of the Victoria Livestock Show.  As always, the show will be set up adjacent to the Victoria Community Center. This year's carnival will run from Thursday, February 15th- Sunday, February 25th. All-you-can-ride wristbands will be available every day and ride tickets will also be available.  See some of the rides below.

All you can ride wristband will be available every day for $30 or you can get ride tickets for $1 a ticket, rides will be up to 5 tickets per ride. See some of the rides below. You can also see the Beer Garden Entertainment schedule below as well.

KAMIKAZE: This falls under a classic carnival ride. However, I remember it being blue and white. 

STORM: This ride is a no for me, dog. Be prepared to get super dizzy and possibly sick. 

NO-LIMIT: This is a premium ride and will require additional tickets even if you have a wristband.  On a side note, there is a weight limit, which I went over. I was denied entry to this ride.

THE SEA RAY: This one is super colorful with super bright LED lights.  

THE CLIFFHANGER: No duct tape on this one. 

THE FERRIS WHEEL: Over 50’, guests will get a birds-eye view of the surrounding area!

VERTIGO: Side note, this ride will not fly on a super windy day. 

THE PUPPY ROLL: The Puppy Roll is a family ride. It has a double circular motion. I have actually gotten sick from spinning too much on this one. 

THE ORIENT EXPRESS: The Orient Express is a kiddie roller coaster that mom and dad can ride along to!

ALIEN ABDUCTION: Most of us grew up with the name the 'Gravitron' Riders experience the feeling of weightlessness as they are pressed against the wall. I can still handle this one. 

BEER GARDEN:

The legendary Beer Garden will kick off on Thursday, February 22nd, and run through Saturday, February 24th.  Here is the entire Beer Garden Entertainment lineup:

EXHIBIT HALL

The exhibit hall will open at Noon on Thursday and Sunday and at 10 AM on Friday and Saturday.
