The Dallas Cowboys have finally made a decision about Dak Prescott and he is staying in Dallas.  Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys have agreed to a four-year, $160 million contract, which includes $126 million guaranteed as reported by ESPN. Now the question has come up: Is Dak worth all this money?

Just last month the Dallas Cowboys released their 2021 hype video and Dak wasn't included.  Many Cowboy fans were wondering why?  Dak Prescott only played 5 games during the 2020 season before the season-ending injury during week 5 against the New York Giants.  In that short time, he was 151-222 with 1856 yards with 9 touchdowns.  Not bad for a 5 game stretch.

Now that this deal is complete, the focus turns to improve the roster around Prescott to make sure the Cowboys can contend for a Super Bowl. I mean football is a team sport.  The Cowboys have missed the playoffs in three of the past four seasons and have been an unofficial spokesperson for mediocrity.  Cue the 8-8 jokes! However, in his absence last year, we see how important Dak is to this team.  The Cowboys' offense stumbled along for a few weeks without Prescott, scoring one touchdown in three games. Dallas scored at least 31 points in four of their first five games with Prescott behind center. It was indeed hard to watch.  Now that the deal is done, expectations are high for Dak Prescott and we Cowboy fans are excited about next season.  Now it's time to work on that defense!  Let's go Cowboys!
