Cut Your Own Christmas Tree This Year in South Texas
For those of you already in Christmas mode. Did you know you can cut your own Christmas tree up the road from Victoria? It's at a place just outside of Luling called Abrameit’s Tree Farm. You can choose and cut your very own Virginia Pine Christmas Tree, it's a pretty cool way to get this year's Christmas Tree. The Tree farm will open on the Saturday after Thanksgiving 11/25/23. and will be open until the second week in December, unless they sell out! Plan accordingly. If you prefer you can choose a precut Fraser, Noble, Nordman, or Douglas Firs. Abarmeit's is located just outside of Luling on 183. If you are driving from Victoria it is on the right-hand side right before you hit Buc-ee's.
CUERO'S CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK:
The famous holiday lights on the River Walk will turn on this month on November 24, 2023, and remain on from dusk to dawn nightly through January 7, 2024 (at dawn). You can also catch the official televised lighting ceremony in the Arneson River Theatre on Friday, November 24, 2023.
The display will be over 100,000 lights (2,250 strings of light) draped over the towering bald cypress trees that line the River Walk. As always this experience is absolutely FREE! Visit their website for other events that coincide with the holiday lights, such as the Ford Fiesta de las Luminarias and Ford Holiday Boat Caroling.
