THROWBACK THURSDAY: Cody Johnson's Last Show at Schroeder Hall

We were so fortunate to have had the legendary Schroeder Hall in our backyard. While its official address was in Goliad County, we claimed it in Victoria. So many of the biggest names in country music today have performed on that stage, including Cody Johnson.

Cody's final appearance at Schroeder Hall was on December 17, 2016.

The last time that Cody Johnson performed at Schroeder Hall was in December 2016, and of course, the show was SOLD OUT! This was his last show in Texas for 2016 and also the last show before he catapulted to the top of the country music scene. Texas country artist Bri Bagwell opened the show.

The year after Cody Johnson's show at Schroeder Hall was his breakout year in country music.

After this show at Schroeder Hall, Cody's career took off. His next two shows were at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo and Rodeo Houston. If you go back far enough, you can see Cody posting about Schroeder Hall on his social media pages, which is really cool.

Cody Johnson will be back at Rodeo Houston this year.

Once again, Cody Johnson will be performing at Rodeo Houston this year. His show will be a special one because it will a full-length concert instead of a 60-minute set. Also performing will be Randy Houser and Jon Pardi.

Maybe one day, CoJo will do a dive bar thing and come back to the area. I feel like Schroeder Hall could open up for a special appearance such as this.
