Fame has its drawbacks. If you're Chris Young, one of those major nuisances is the impersonators who try to deceive and take advantage of his fans.

Young was forced to again face the issue head on earlier this month, issuing a warning to his fans about catfish who pretend to be him on social media. "I don't know how else to say this. I don’t want money. I’m not gonna send you my number in secret." Young says. "This is my only account."

Just a few days later, in an interview with Taste of Country, Young was still on fire about it.

"It pisses me off," he admits. "Anyone who tries to take advantage of my fans is just annoying. I get that some of it comes with the territory, but you just don’t want anyone to do it. I wake up every morning and the first thing I do is look for fake profiles."

From there, he moves on with his day, and he looks forward to everything that is just around the corner for him. There is one concert in particular that he has his eye on at the moment: his sold-out concert date at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena.

“We were in a long meeting about next summer recently, and my manager asked me if I knew what the date was, and I realized that it was less than a month away,” says Young about his sold-out Sept. 22 concert date, which is part of his ongoing Losing Sleep World Tour. “That show is certainly going to be right up there in terms of one of my biggest career accomplishments. Even when we booked it, I was thinking about what it was going to look like.”

He says he’s also thinking about what its going to sound like, as not only will the arena be filled with fans, but also a slew of family and friends eager to celebrate the accomplishments of their hometown hero.

"In some of the venues we have been to, the crowd noise has been jet-engine loud,” Young shares. "It’s crazy."

Young is preparing to get back on the road, and the Grand Ole Opry member will be bringing with him a slew of country favorites, including Dan + Shay and Dee Jay SilverMorgan Evans will be there too — Young recently gave his buddy a Twitter shoutout as the Aussie celebrated his first number one hit, "Kiss Somebody."

“There is a personal end to all that, since I just don’t say things like that on social media, but I also text them,” Young dishes. "Anytime you don’t take the time to celebrate what your friends are accomplishing, I think you are missing out. It’s important to always have something to celebrate."

We have a feeling there will be indeed much more to celebrate in the future for this Tennessee native.

"I definitely have a five-year plan, which may sound cheesy, but I always have things that are rattling off in my head," Young says. "I’m continuing to check off the boxes of my career."
