Brantley Gilbert Is Ready to ‘Fire’t Up’ in New Single [LISTEN]

Gilbert co-wrote "Fire't Up" with Brandon Day and Justin Weaver. The song, a party-ready track with an echoing melody and banjo weaving throughout, opens his newest album, Fire & Brimstone. For Gilbert's fans, the song will sit comfortably next to "Kick It in the Sticks" and "Bottoms Up" on a playlist.

"Fire't Up" is one of 15 songs on Fire & Brimstone, all of which were written or co-written by Gilbert. The project's lead single "What Happens in a Small Town," a duet with Lindsay Ell, recent hit No. 1; other collaborations on the record include "Welcome to Hazeville," a stoner's anthem featuring Colt Ford, Lukas Nelson and Willie Nelson, and record's title track, which features Jamey Johnson and Alison Krauss as special guests.

"Jamey is like the reverend. And Alison is kind of like the choir girl or front-row Christian .... and I’m like the guy who’s in the back row that smokes a cigarette," Gilbert tells Taste of Country of the song "Fire & Brimstone." "Those are two of my favorite vocalists of all time. Jamey is just the man, and, you know, Alison -- I feel like if God put an angel’s voice on earth it’s probably hers."

"Fire't Up" will officially hit country radio on Dec. 2.
